SURAJ THAPA, Co-Director & Co-Founder

Suraj is the co-director and co-founder of Home State Politics. He oversees data collection and the building of data partnerships with other organizations and academics. He is passionate about computational social science and using technology in the nonprofit sector. Suraj holds an undergraduate degree in Economics with a minor in mathematics from the University of Idaho and a M.A. from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. Outside work, Suraj is an avid fan of soccer and enjoys reading and outdoor activities.

RACHEL GOODMAN, Co-Director & Co-Founder

Rachel is the co-director and co-founder of Home State Politics, where she oversees the analysis of data and production of research. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Idaho and an M.A. in International Studies with a specialization in data science from the University of Denver. She has a passion for state politics and previously served as a committee secretary in the Idaho State Senate and as a research intern at the National Conference of State Legislatures.

LUCA PICCI, Data Engineer

Luca is a volunteer data engineer at HSP, where he focuses on the collection and cleaning of legislative data. He recently graduated with an MA in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies in Denver.
